Update: Overnight Rain to Be Followed by Warming Trend

The National Weather Service predicts a warming trend through Saturday followed by more rain.

A weak low-pressure storm brought overnight rain to the area, and a similarly light storm is expected to come early next week. However, skies are expected to clear and bring warmer termperatures for the weekend. Sunny Saturday skies are expected to bring a high of 65 degrees to Seal Beach and a high of 70 to Los Alamitos.

Get outdoors while you can on Saturday because another weak low-pressure system is brewing, creating a chance of rain Sunday through Wednesday, said Bill Hoffer, spokesman for the National Weather Service.

“We are looking at a range of rainfall of about a quarter inch,” Hoffer said.

In the meantime, today should start out cloudy and give way to clear skies, he said.

Friday should be mostly Sunday with a high in the mid to upper 60s, and the warming trend will peak on Saturday.
