Poll: Should the 405 Get Toll Lanes?

Among the options the county is considering for the 405 widening, is a proposal to add a toll lane along the 405 between 605 and the 73 Toll Road. What do you think about it?

Los Alamitos and Seal Beach city leaders have expressed concerns about a proposal to widen the San Diego (405) Freeway.

The county intends to expand the freeway between the 73 toll road and the San Gabriel (605) Freeway by adding lanes or toll roads. Which option would you prefer?

The proposed freeway improvements include adding a lane in each direction, adding two lanes in each direction, adding a general-purpose lane and a toll lane in each direction that would be managed together with the existing carpool lane, or a no-build alternative. The 405 is one of the busiest freeways anywhere, with sections handling upward of 300,000 vehicles per day.
