Person Injured After 2 Men Break Into Apartment Complex Laundry Room
Also in local crimes calls two men were arrested on suspicion of assault.

STOLEN VEHICLE
05/26/13 – 10:10 a.m. – 10600 Chestnut – A report of an unauthorized taking of a vehicle overnight.

AUTO BURGLARY
06/01/13 – 1:33 P.M. – 4100 Cerritos – A report of two vehicle window smashes with the loss of personal property. The suspect was described as a 20-year-old man, 6-foot-tall and 200 pounds, wearing a blue baseball cap with the letters “LA” on it and a black shirt and black pants. Property from one of the vehicle burglaries was later located in a nearby city.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT
05/27/13 – 5:34 A.M. – 3600 Green – A report of an unauthorized entry into a laundry room of an apartment complex. The victim confronted two suspects as they were breaking into the coin-operated washers and dryers. During the confrontation, the victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects fled in a white ‘90s Ford Explorer. One of the suspects was described as a 25-year-old man, 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds. The other suspect was described as a 25-year-old man, 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds.
05/30/13 – 12:34 P.M. – 3500 Cerritos – A report of an unauthorized entry into a storage unit with the loss of property overnight.
ASSAULT
05/30/13 – 11:14 A.M. – Civic Center and Katella – A report of a disturbance. A 40-year-old Los Alamitos man was arrested on suspicion of assault.
05/31/13 – 11:24 P.M. – 3900 Farquhar – A report of a disturbance. A 46-year-old Lakewood man was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery.
THEFT
05/30/13 – 8:24 A.M. – 11000 Saratoga – A report of an unauthorized taking of property from a residence overnight.
06/01/13 – 11:23 A.M. – 4200 Farquhar – A report of an unauthorized taking of property from the front yard of a residence within the past ten minutes.
06/01/13 – 2:02 P.M. – 4300 Katella – A report of an unauthorized taking of property from a business which occurred within the past hour. The suspect was described as a 6-foot-4 man about 260 pounds.
MISCELLANEOUS
05/28/13 – 1:39 A.M. – 5000 Katella – A pedestrian check. A 28 years-old Lakewood man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
05/28/13 – 7:43 A.M. – 3100 Lilly – A report of suspicious activity in the flood control. An 18-year-old Long Beach man was arrested for unlawful possession of prescription medication.
05/28/13 – 8:06 P.M. – 12400 Satellite – A report of a disabled vehicle. A 58-year-old Rossmoor man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
05/29/13 – 11:40 A.M. – Bloomfield and Littlefield – A suspicious vehicle. A 23-year-old Lakewood man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of possessing narcotics paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
05/29/13 – 5:40 P.M. – 4500 Howard – A welfare check requested. A 20-year-old Los Alamitos man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
05/30/13 – 8:27 P.M. – 3500 Cerritos –A report of a suspicious person. A 32-year-old Bell resident as arrested on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools and of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
