Nightly Freeway and Seal Beach Boulevard Closures to Continue Throughout the Week

Construction work for the West County Connector Project triggers significant closures in the Seal Beach and Rossmoor areas throughout the week.

  • Four lanes of the northbound 405 between Seal Beach Boulevard and Westminster Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday night.
  • The 405/22 connectors will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday, and from midnight to 3 p.m. Friday.
  • The northbound 405 Seal Beach offramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thurdsay.
  • Some lanes of the Seal Beach Boulevard freeway overpass will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
  • Two lanes on each side of the 405 between the 605 and Seal Beach Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
  • The southbound 405/605 connector will be entirely closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
  • The Old Ranch Parkway on-ramp to the westbound 22 will close Sunday in preparation of the northbound 405 / westbound SR-22 / 7th Street Connector closure. The Old Ranch Parkway on-ramp to the westbound SR-22 will reopen in late March 2012.
  • Vegetation removal is ongoing in the 405 /605 interchange and adjacent to the community of Rossmoor. Removal activities will be during the day and night. Night work may be disruptive to the neighboring community due to equipment noise.
  • Nightly lane closures, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., will continue intermittently between Seal Beach Boulevard and the 605.  
  • Northbound 405 / westbound 22 / 7th Street Connector is scheduled to close for 12 months starting in March. The exact date has not been set.
  • Long Beach has begun implementing Studebaker Road and Palo Verde Avenue mitigation measures in preparation of the upcoming northbound 405 / westbound 22 / 7th Street Connector closure. Signals along these detour routes will be modified to facilitate traffic flow.
