Man Driving Honda Hits Female Passenger, Puts Her in Headlock

Also in local crime calls, a 5-year-old was bitten on the face by a small Pikonese dog.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 06/16/2013 – 12:01 a.m. – Beachcomber Drive – A man carrying a grocery bag and walking a dog tried to enter a caller’s backyard.

  • 06/16/2013 – 11:11 a.m. – Pacific Coast Highway – A former employer came into the caller’s place of work today and threatened the caller’s life. The man said he “has weapons and knows Kung Fu” and was described as in his 40s, 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds.

INFORMATION

  • 06/16/2013 – 12:11 p.m. – Harvard Lane – A person left a note and feces on a caller’s 24-year-old vehicle. The note advised the man he better not drive 30 mph on a nearby street again.

  • 06/16/2013 – 6:01 p.m. – Pacific Coast Highway – A driver heading northbound on PCH in a dark Honda Accord was allegedly hitting a female in the car and putting her in a headlock.

VICIOUS ANIMAL

  • 06/16/2013 – 6:42 P.M. — Main Street — A dog bit a five-year-old child on the face, a caller said. The owner of the small Pikonese allegedly refused to provide ID. It turned out to be a minor injury, and Long Beach Animal Care Services was called.
