Los Al, Rossmoor Young Rockers Win Battle of the Bands

'Random' takes home a free recording session with ArtiSans Label.

They did it! 
Local preteen rock band Random took home first prize in a Fullerton battle of the bands recently.

The five-member group performed at the Parks Jr. High Fundraiser.

“Our kids … were by far the youngest kids to ever make it into the contest,” said Rossmoor mom Honor Levin in an email. 

Levin said Random were also the first out-of-district entry. Random is:

  • Rossmoor resident, Max Guardi on guitar
  • Rossmoor resident Jack Levin on bass and vocals
  • Los Alamitos resident Lexi Luyben on vocals
  • Los Alamitos resident Katherine Roberts on keyboard
  • Rossmoor resident Elijah Vann on drums

According to Levin, after three weeks of practice, the group took the stage and took home the prize: a recording session with ArtiSans Label. 

“They are excited to about recording their first song together,” Levin added.
