The San Diego Freeway will again be closed to traffic during the overnight hours east of Long Beach this weekend, Caltrans officials said Saturday.
Southbound 405 traffic will be diverted off the freeway at Studebaker Road and detoured on surface streets starting at 11:59 p.m. both Saturday night and Sunday night, and extending through 5 a.m. the next days, weather permitting.
Northbound 405 and westbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway traffic will get the same treatment, starting at Valley View Street. But those closures will be in effect Sunday night and Monday morning only.
Most ramps linking the 22 and 405 freeways will also be closed during the overnight hours this weekend, Caltrans officials said. The Seal Beach Boulevard ramps will also be closed.
The work and closures may be postponed if rain develops, Caltrans officials have warned.
