House Hunt: Seal Beach, Rossmoor and Los Alamitos

An update on local real estate listings and sales.

As the holiday season approaches, listing activity traditionally tends to slow down and that seems to be the case this week. There are no new listings to check out.

However, there are plenty of homes in the active listing category. One near and dear to our hearts is a Los Alamitos fourplex for buyers interested in income properties. Call us for details.

Seal Beach shows 71 active listings, 15 of them condos. Prices run from $225,000 for a small condo to $7.925 million for a spectacular oceanfront property, with lots to choose from inbetween. Of the listings, 18 have been on the market for 60 or fewer days, 24 have had for sale signs for 61-120 days, 15 are in the 121- to 180-day timeframe and 14 have been listed for six months or more.

In Los Alamitos, prices start at $285,000 and range up to $969,000 for the 27 houses looking for new owners. Fourteen of these houses have been listed for 60 or fewer days, one is in the 120-day bracket, seven have been for sale up to 180 days and five more than 180 days.

Of the 67 closed sales in Rossmoor, only nine have been for a million dollars or more. The range there was $289,000 to $1.617 million. And in Los Alamitos, the 34 closed sales went from $272,000 on the low end to $799,000 on the high.
