Heat Wave for a Day

Thursday looks to be the warmest day we’ve seen in months, with temperatures expected to jump to 87 degrees in Los Alamitos from today’s high of 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

That is hot, compared with the unseasonably cool winter and early spring we’ve had. The sudden heat wave—which follows months of cold, wet weather—won’t last long, however.

The weather service is predicting a sharp drop in temperatures by the weekend, with patchy fog Friday night and Saturday and a high of 65 degrees Sunday in Los Alamitos and 63 degrees in Seal Beach.
