The all-things-parenting website babycenter.com recently released the list of the top 100 most popular baby names. And there were few surprises.
For the seventh straight year, Aiden reigned as the most popular name for boys. Similarly Sophia topped the girls’ list for the second year in a row after edging out Isabella in 2010.
Maybe the names that didn’t make the list are more surprising than the ones that did. Once prevalent names such as Jenny, Lisa, Carrie, Mark, Peter and Tim didn’t crack the top 100. But here are the names that made the top ten:
