Cooling Trend to Start Today

By the end of the week, local temperatures are expected to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than over the last weekend.

Expect a gradual cool down this week as midweek temperatures are expected to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than they were over the weekend.

It’s been an unusually cool summer, but the Los Alamitos Unified students were given the gift of beach weather for the last weekend before school starts again on Wednesday. Daytime highs tipped past 90 in Seal Beach and Los Alamitos on Friday, but this week, the neighborhood is unlikely to get much warmer than 85.

According to the National Weather Service, Seal Beach will reach 80 degrees on Monday, cooling down to a daytime high of 75 on Thursday. In Los Alamitos, Monday is forecast to reach 85 degrees, but by Thursday, the daytime high is expected to 70 degrees.
