Chance of Thunderstorm Today, Hot Week Ahead

Expect humidty, a slight chance of rain and another brilliant sunset for your Labor Day.

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, the Labor Day Weather looks to mirror the job market.

So be prepared for thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms and rain in Los Alamitos, Rossmoor and Seal Beach. Sunday also had a slight chance of thunderstorms, which made for a humid day, some errant rains drops in the afternoon, and a stunning sunset, which drew a small crowd at the First Street jetty in Seal Beach.

Chances are good, that the sky will put on another spectacular show for us again today at sunset, which will occur at 7:10 p.m.

The weather service is predicting a high of 76 in Seal Beach 80 degrees in Los Alamitos today. And it only gets hotter after today. Temperatures are expected to jump by 10 degrees Tuesday, bringing a daytime high of 90 to Los Alamitos, a trend that is expected to last most of the week.
