Chance of Rain Then Come the Santa Anas

A slight chance of rain tonight will give way to mild Santa Ana conditions this week.

There is a slight chance of rain tonight in the Los Alamitos and Seal Beach area.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of rain sometime after 11 p.m. tonight. After that, a mild case of the Santa Ana winds are expected to blow in, bringing dry conditions, fire warnings and warmer days and cooler nights for the rest of the week.

The Santa Anas are expected to bring mild gusts of 10 to 15 miles per hour locally, starting Wednesday morning through Thursday. Highs in the low to mid 70s are expected for the rest of the week with overnight lows in the mid 50s.

In the mountains and foothills, the Nation Weather Service is predicting gusts of up to 50 miles per hour along with single digit temperatures overnight.
