Cab Driver Accused of Raping Leisure World Passenger Due in Court

A cab driver accused of raping a woman in Leisure World is scheduled to appear in court today.

Orlando Bruce Bosley, 57, is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing in Orange County Superior Court on three counts of rape stemming a from a July cab ride from Sunset Beach to Leisure World.

Bosley, picked up a 46-year-old woman in his taxi on July 6 in Sunset Beach to take her to her home in Leisure World, Seal Beach, according to the Seal Beach Police Department. Investigators allege that Bosley knocked out the passenger, dragged her inside her mother's Leisure World home and raped her as she drifted in and out of consciousness.

Bosley, a Westminster resident, is charged with rape by menace, rape by the use of drugs and rape of an unconscious person and could face up to eight years in prison if convicted. Bosley remains free on $100,000 bail.

Investigators are asking the public's help identifying potential victims who may not have come forward after an assault. According to court records, Bosley is 5-foot, 9-inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has a brown eyes and black hair.
