Brief Seal Beach High-Speed Chase Ends in DUI Arrest

Also, in recent local crime calls, a mustachioed man with a red shirt and a black baseball cap was spotted trying to start fights on Main Street.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log.

  • 05/30/2013 – 7:54 p.m. – Ocean Avenue – A woman said a neighbor told her someone was in her house. When police arrived, they find no one in the home.

DISTURBANCE

  • 05/30/2013 – 7:59 p.m. – 1st Street – People were throwing things and being loud while moving out of the first floor of a nearby building, a caller reported.

  • 05/30/2013 – 10:45 p.m. – Main Street – A man with a mustache, a red shirt and black baseball cap was allegedly trying to start fights near Main Street.

WELFARE CHECK

  • 05/31/2013 – 12:27 a.m. – Lampson Ave – A woman asked police to check on an 82-year-old female who the caller was unable to reach by phone. The caller was worried that the woman might be intoxicated. The police checked with the female later and found the female had been drinking, but there were no other health issues.

HIT AND RUN PROPERTY DAMAGE

  • 05/31/2013 – 01:36 p.m. – Pacific Coast Highway – A man in his 50s driving a silver Cadillac hit a black Prius in Long Beach and left the scene, the Prius driver said. The caller requested police search the vehicle. Authorities spotted the Cadillac in Seal Beach and a high-speed chase began southbound on PCH near Second Street. Later, authorities arrested the man near Admiralty Drive in Huntington Beach. After a blood check, authorities arrested Vincent Pinnone, 54, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
