A Swap Meet Made For Kids

At the Seal Beach College Park East Kids' Swap Meet, they ca get rid of old toys and get new ones on the cheep.

  • Kids' Swap meet: How can you motivate your kids to clean out there toys? Tell them about the College Park East Kids' Swap Meet on August 13th at 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Heather Park. It’s a community swap meet that gives kids the opportunity to sell and buy used toys, clothes, books, bikes, and anything and everything for kids at great prices.
  • Sunscreen: My son is in baseball camp all week from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. I did everything right. I invested the $12 for the 100+ SPF Neutrogena sunscreen because I think it works the best. I even labeled the bottle and put it in his bag.  He came home fried, and he lost the sunscreen.  On the advise of a friend, I picked up Ocean Potion’s Face clear zinc oxide cream for $2.99 at Target.  He still may lose it, but I won’t be out $12 if he does.
  • Newport Beach: One day in Newport can cost you a fortune but not if you head for a hike on the back bay. It’s 1,000 acres of open space where the breezes are cool and the kids can explore.  Take a short hike observing the birds and climbing some cool trees. You can even visit the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center and learn all about California’s coastal wetlands. The Upper Newport Bay is located at 2301 University Drive, Newport Beach. Call (949)923-2290 or (949)923-2295 for more information.
