A Small Quake Shook the OC Coastline Monday

The 3.7 magnitude quake struck between Catalina and San Clemente islands.

A small earthquake struck off the Orange County coast Monday evening.

A 3.7 magnitude quake struck at 4:35 p.m. roughly 33 miles off the coast midway between Catalina and San Clemente islands, according to the Southern California Earthquake Data Center.

Residents as far inland as Norco reported feeling the quake as did people up and down the coast from Oceanside to Redondo Beach. There were no tsunami warnings issued for this quake. To sign up for Orange County’s Emergency warning or ‘reverse 911’ system, go to OC Alert.
