South 405 to Close Completely Monday Night

Construction work will block all southbound lanes of the freeway between the 605 and Seal Beach Boulevard starting at 11 p.m.

The southbound 405 Freeway will shut down entirely tonight in Seal Beach.

The freeway will be closed from the 605 Freeway to Seal Beach Boulevard from 11 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday. The closure enables work on the 3½-year West County Connector Project to move into the Seal Beach and Rossmoor area.

Crews will be relocating the pile-driving rig from the center of the 405 to a new site near Leisure World.
