405, 605 and 22 Freeways to Experience Nighttime Closures All Week

While the rest of the world braces for ‘carmaggedon’ with the weekend closure of the San Diego Freeway (405) at the Sepulveda Pass, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos and Long Beach residents will have to contend with their own freeway closures of slightly less biblical proportions.

All week, the West County Connectors Project will be in full swing with nighttime closures on the 405 and Garden Grove (22) and San Gabriel (605) freeways.

Multiple lanes in both directions of the 405 between Seal Beach Boulevard and the 605 will be closed every night through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: At least one lane will be open in each direction.

• Lanes on both sides of the 605 between Katella Avenue and the 405 will be closed every night through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: At least one lane will be open in each direction.
• The northbound 405/605 connectors will be closed every night through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: From the 405, exit Westminster Avenue, proceed west on Westminster Avenue and turn right on Seal Beach Boulevard, continue north (Seal Beach Boulevard becomes Los Alamitos Boulevard) and turn left on Katella Avenue to access the 605 on-ramp.
  Or From the northbound 405, exit Palo Verde Avenue, turn right on Palo Verde Avenue and proceed north, turn right on Willow Street and proceed east to access the NB I-605 on-ramp.
• The south bound 405/605 connectors will be closed every night through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: From the 405, exit Palo Verde Avenue and turn left, proceed north on Palo Verde Avenue to East Willow Street, turn right on East Willow Street and proceed east to access the 605 on-ramp
• The eastbound 22/southbound 405 connector will be closed every night through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: Eastbound 22 street traffic will travel south on Studebaker Road, proceed south and turn left on East 2nd Street /Westminster Avenue, turn left on Westminster Avenue, proceed east on Westminster Avenue to access the405 on-ramp
• The eastbound 22/northbound 605 connector will be closed every night through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: From the 22, exit Studebaker Road and turn right, proceed north on Studebaker Road to East Willow Street, turn right on East Willow Street and proceed east to access the 605 on-ramp
• The 605 Katella Avenue offramp will be closed tonight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: From the 405, exit Seal Beach Boulevard and turn right, proceed north on Seal Beach Boulevard / Los Alamitos Boulevard and continue to Katella Avenue. OR, From the 605, exit Willow Street
• The 405 Seal Beach Boulevard offramp will be closed Tuesday night through Saturday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: From Seal Beach Boulevard proceed south to Westminster Avenue and turn right, turn right on Studebaker Road and continue north to access the 405 on-ramp.
