The 26th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is taking place on Thursday, July 4th at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos.

The cities of Los Alamitos, Cypress, Seal Beach, the Community of Rossmoor, and the Joint Forces Training Base collaborate to host this annual event to honor the men and women of the military and celebrate our country’s birthday.

This year, the event and fireworks display will take place on the runways of the military instillation.  The new event area will be closer to parking, making the event’s proximity for the elderly and handicapped closer.  The new layout also provides a much cleaner seating area for participants to sit, enjoy the entertainment and view the fireworks. But bring something to sit on. Chairs, blankets.......

Biking onto the instillation is allowed but all riders must wear a helmet. Parking on the military instillation is highly recommended.

Entry to the event will open at 4:00 p.m. via Lexington Dr. off of Katella Ave.  The Orangewood gate will not be used as an entry point to the base.

Due to heighten security, please provide plenty of time and patience to enter the base.

The cities of Los Alamitos and Cypress will be collecting a $5 parking fee per vehicle to support the event. Parking will be free with a military ID.

The patriotic 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will include free activities like military displays, sponsor booths with giveaways and information, and live music on the main stage.

For a minimal cost, you can enjoy an extensive Kids Fun Zone and fantastic food from several fabulous food vendors that will be serving a variety of dinner options, desserts, and snacks. If you are interested in being a food vendor or regular merchandise/advertising vendor, please contact the Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department.

There will be flyovers from military aircraft, before the event’s climax at 9:00 p.m. with one of the best and longest fireworks displays in Southern California.
