Latent Powers for Rossmoor Community Service District?
Should Rossmoor Get Latent Powers Or Should Rossmoor Be Annexed To Los Alamitos - What's Best For Both Communities?
On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, the Rossmoor Community Service District will be voting to file an application with Orange County to allow them to contract for animal control services, police services and trash pick-up.
These services are currently being provided by Orange County without the input of the Rossmoor Community. It appears that the Rossmoor Community Service District is seeking control of services that are provided by incorporated cities. Over two years ago, Rossmoor Residents rejected overwhelmingly the incorporation of Rossmoor as a city. With Orange County now stating that they no longer want to provide county services to unincorporated areas, Rossmoor faces annexation or services provided by Los Alamitos.
What options do you feel Rossmoor Residents should seek: annexation to Los Alamitos, citihood or allowing Los Alalmitos to provide law enforcement or animal control services? We would like to hear your opinion on how this would better either Rossmoor and/or Los Alamitos.
