“I am honored to be elected to this position,” said Newland. “I try to be a positive influence on my fellow business women and my community and look forward to working with the various officers and chapters in the region.”

"As a Realtor, I believe in advocating for homeowners rights," said Newland. "There is no other group (Realtors) out there protecting homeowners and looking out for issues that impact homeowner's pocketbooks."

Newland is also a California Association of Realtors (CAR) Director and was appointed to the NAR Business Issues policy Committee. In addition to serving both at the state and national level, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Association of Realtors.

Newland has been a community volunteer for 25 years with many organizations. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League, a member of Steel Magnolias and a Rotarian.

Newland's real estate office also believes in giving back to the communities in which it serves. The 270 agents in the KW Los Alamitos Market Center have donated hundreds of hours annually on many projects and has supported many non-profit organizations.

The KW Los Alamitos Market Center has raised more than $50,000 for KW Cares in addition to assisting local agents and immediate needs of families facing medical emergencies.

If you asked Newland why she opened a real estate office, she will tell you it is because she wanted to work with agents who have high standards, value people and treat customers like they matter.

“Besides being responsible for capital, vision and management of the office, I also take an active part in mentoring and training new agents,” said Newland. “The training that we offer is the cornerstone of our company.”

“Being operating principal has fulfilled my dream of helping agents achieve higher success but I still love my clients and selling real estate,” said Newland. “That is why I am active as an agent at the Los Alamitos office, I like working with my past clients as well as meeting new clients.”
