The Great Food Truck Race Champions to Roll into Los Alamitos Today

This week's $100,000 Food Network winners are scheduled to serve food at tonight's Picnic at the Plaza.

If the food at this week’s Picnic at the Plaza seems a little rich, that’s because it is.

Among the dozen trucks scheduled to appear is Lime Truck, the $100,000 winner of this week’s season finale of The Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race.”

In case you didn’t see it, the Lime Truck beat out some of the nation’s most skilled food truck chefs over several weeks of challenges and competition.

The Irvine-based truck beat out fellow competitor and Orange County-based Seabirds Truck, also a top performer on the show.

The Lime Truck specializes in California Beach cuisine, and it was a fresh fish challenge in Miami that, not surprisingly, put the Lime Truck in the lead heading into the final day of competition on Sunday’s season finale.

As you can see in the accompanying video, the folks over at the Lime Truck are known to do a little dance for their customers, so be sure to request a little victory dance.
