Orange County Gas Prices Are Rising

The Orange County average price has risen 7.3 cents over the past 19 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline rose Wednesday for the 17th time in 19 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.63, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.5 cents more than one week ago and 1.6 cents higher than one month ago but 2.5 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has risen 7.3 cents over the past 19 days, including one-tenth of a cent on both Monday and Tuesday. Before the increases began on Nov. 23, the Orange County average price decreased 65 of the previous 66 days, dropping to its lowest amount since Dec. 27, 2012.

The average price of gas in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Wednesday to $3.652, the 17th increase in 19 days.

The average Los Angeles County price has risen 7 cents over the past 19 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. It is 2.5 cents more than one week ago and 1.1 cents higher than one month ago but 3.4 cents lower than one year ago.

Before the increases began, the average price decreased 30 consecutive days and 65 of the previous 66, dropping to its lowest amount since Dec. 27, 2011.
