Gas Prices Fall For Nearly a Month Straight

Thought the declines continue to be small, the trend in falling gas prices continue. Here are your lowest prices in town.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County declined today for the 20th consecutive day and 26th time in the past 27 days, dropping to $4.219.

That’s 5.1 cents less than a week ago and 16.1 cents lower than one month ago but 3.1 cents more than one year ago. The Orange County average price has decreased 15.2 cents over the past 27 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

“A little more price competition appears to be happening among gas stations, which is good news for drivers,” said Auto Club spokesperson Jeffrey Spring. “Drivers can help encourage further price reductions by shopping around for the best prices, as long as they’re not driving far out of their way.”
