Seal Beach's is among the chain's cafes teaming up this Independence Day with a nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial assistance for wounded troops and families of service members.
As part of Coffee Bean's “Support at Home” program, it is offering any 12-ounce blended drink—including its new summer flavors, Cookies & Cream and Mocha Mudslide—for $2 on the Fourth of July.
Coffee Bean will donate $1 per 12-ounce blended drink sold on July 4 to Operation Homefront.
The Coffee Bean in Seal Beach is at 347 Main St at the corner of Main Street and PCH.
As part of its partnership with Operation Homefront, the coffee shop is also selling a limited edition, pre-ground "Support at Home" coffee blend. Coffee Bean will give $1 to Operation Homefront for each $9.95 bag purchased through Aug. 5.
Customers who purchase the “Support at Home” coffee can request that the bag be donated directly to returning troops and their families. Each package features a blank surface on the back of the label where customers can write a message to the recipient.
"We hope the bags of coffee and donations bring our servicemen and women and their families comfort in knowing that we as a nation are humbled by their dedication to our country," said Mel Elias, president and chief executive officer of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
