New 7-Eleven Selling 50 Cent Slurpees, Hot Dogs On Opening Day

The new Los Alamitos location will also be raffling off prizes like an HDTV and a bike.

Maybe you want to win a high-definition tv  … or maybe you just want a cheap Slurpee.

You'll have a chance at both at the grand opening ceremony for the new 7-Eleven store in Los Alamitos Friday.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m, the store at 10772 Los Alamitos Boulevard will be selling medium Slurpees, Big Gulps and glazed donuts for 50 cents each and a Big Bite hot dog for 50 cents plus tax each.

The 7-Eleven ribbon cutting ceremony helps get the word out to customers about the new shop, said Johnnie Strohmyer, CEO of the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re just really pleased have them staying with us,” Strohmyer said. "I think that Los Alamitos is very business-oriented, so to be able to support each other is very important."

The biz will also be raffling off a number of prizes including a 40 inch flat screen HDTV, a bike and an X-Box 360.

The raffle will take place 4 p.m. Prizes vary due to supply. You must fill out a raffle ticket in the store.

The store is number 39621 and is located at the corner of Los Alamitos and Catalina Street.
