More Freeway Closures Announced, 405's Called Off

While the freeway will be open tonight, there will be extended closures affecting traffic late into Saturday morning.

Tonight’s scheduled full San Diego (405) Freeway closure has been called off.

Enjoy all seven lanes while you can because the nighttime freeway closures are scheduled to resume tomorrow night and through the weekend, lasting three weeks as crews prepare to reopen the 7th Street Bridge. However, a storm moving in from the Gulf of Alaska this weekend may postpone some of the work.

In the meantime, the next nighttime closure is scheduled for the southbound 405 Friday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. between the San Gabriel (605) Freeway and Valley View Street. Additionally, the eastbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway/northbound 605 connector will also be fully closed Friday night and partially closed until 10 a.m. Saturday.
