Rainstorm to Dampen Weekend

Rain and a chance of thunderstorms are expected to drop nearly an inch of rain on the region Sunday and Monday.

It’s going to be a cold, wet weekend.

Pacific storm now hovering off the coast of Oregon is expected to make its way into Orange County late Sunday morning with a 90 percent chance of rain in Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. Temperatures are expected to hover in the low 60s. The storm could bring wind gusts of up to 30 mph and the chance of thunderstorms.

The storm is expected to last through Monday and bring up to a quarter inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The local mountains are also expected to get some late season snow - about 3 to 6inches of fresh powder. The weather service is warning that dense fog will combine with the snowfall to make driving conditions hazardous in the San Bernardino Mountains.
