The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory from 2 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday.
A storm in the South Pacific and Tropical Storm Ileana have combined to bring big waves off the coast of Orange County starting on Friday.
Southwest facing beaches such as Seal Beach will see the largest waves, according to the National Weather Service. Breakers between six and eight feet will hit exposed southerly beaches with sets up to 10-feet, the weather service predicts. A high tide of 5.3 feet is expected at about 10 a.m.
