Freeways, Connectors and Ramps to Close at Night This Week

With the Thanksgiving break passed, work on the West County Connector is back, and so are the freeway closures that come with it.

There are a lot this week. Basically most freeway connectors between the San Diego (405), the San Gabriel (605) and the Garden Grove (22) freeways will be closed at night while each of the freeways will have night time lane closures. Additionally the Katella and Seal Beach Boulevard offramps will be closed at night this week.

Specific Closures

• The north and southbound 405/605 connectors will be entirely closed every night this week from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  Detour: From the NB I-405, exit Westminster Avenue, proceed west on Westminster Avenue and turn right on Seal Beach Boulevard, continue north (Seal Beach Boulevard becomes Los Alamitos Boulevard) and turn left on Katella Avenue to access the NB I-605 on-ramp
  OR
  From the NB I-405, exit Palo Verde Avenue, turn right on Palo Verde Avenue and proceed north, turn right on Willow Street and proceed east to access the NB I-605 on-ramp
  OR
  From the SB I-405, exit Palo Verde Avenue and turn left, proceed north on Palo Verde Avenue to East Willow Street, turn right on East Willow Street and proceed east to access the NB I-605 on-ramp

• Lanes on both sides of the 405 Freeway will be closed between Seal Beach Boulevard and the 605 Freeway every night this week from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  Detour: at least one lane will be open at all times.

• Lanes on the northbound 605 Freeway will be closed between the 405 Freeway and Katella Avenue  every night this week from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  Detour: at least one lane will be open at all times.

• Lanes on the southbound 605 Freeway will bee closed between Katella Avenue and the 405 Freeway from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday and from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday into Sunday morning.
  Detour: at least one lane will be open at all times.

• The eastbound 22 connector to the southbound 405 Freeway will be entirely closed every night this week from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  Detour: Eastbound SR-22 Street traffic will travel south on Studebaker Road, proceed south and turn left on East 2nd Street / Westminster Avenue, turn left on Westminster Avenue, proceed east on Westminster Avenue to access the SB I-405 on-ramp

• The eastbound 22 connector to the northbound 605 Freeway will be fully closed every night this week from 11 p.m. to 5a.m.
  Detour: From the EB SR-22, exit Studebaker Road and turn right, proceed north on Studebaker Road to East Willow Street, turn right on East Willow Street and proceed east to access the NB I-605 on-ramp

• The northbound 605 Freeway offramp at Willow Street/Katella Avenue will be closed every night this week from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  Detour: From the NB I-405, exit Palo Verde Avenue and turn right, proceed north and turn left to access Willow Street or turn right to access Katella Avenue

• The northbound 405 Freeway Seal Beach Boulevard on and offramps will be entirely closed every night this week from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  Detours: From the NB I-405, exit Westminster Avenue, left on Westminster Avenue, proceed west to Seal Beach Boulevard
  OR
  From Seal Beach Boulevard proceed south to Westminster Avenue and turn right, turn right on Studebaker Road and continue north to access the NB I-405 on-ramp
