Zombies Invade Seal Beach!

Hey, we always wanted to write that headline. Have you seen them filming around town?

Patch received several tips about a movie production in town -- including at least one scene shot at the Seal Beach Police Department -- and we had to investigate.

Well, run for the hills and don't forget to double tap ... it's a zombie movie!

According to a short release from Paramount Pictures, the name of the film is Scouts vs. Zombies.

Here's the pitch: On the eve of their last camp out, three scouts discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.

Aw, it's a buddy-bonding theme!

The International Movie Database fills us in a little more. The zombies, you see, attack the Girl Scouts. So it's Boy Scouts to the rescue.

It stars Halston Sage from The Bling Ring and Tye Sheridan (Joe alongside Nicholas Cage).

While the movie is being shot in and around the Seal Beach Police Department, the movie is not set in Seal Beach, said publicist Gregg Brilliant.

According to Sgt. Phil Gonshak, filming wraps up Saturday. He is quite bummed to report he did not get a cameo.
