Seal Beach 6-Year-Old to Star in National TV Commercial

Presley Aguilar makes her professional debut in a Hasbro toy advertisement scheduled for release this summer.

No one has to tell Presley Aguilar to act her age.
She’s already doing it.

The Seal Beach kindergartner will star in her first national commercial this summer.

Presley, who attends McGaugh Elementary School, just finished shooting an advertisement for a children’s ring toss game for the Hasbro toy company.

Why the acting bug?

“Because um it’s really fun, and I like to do that,” said the six year-old in a phone conversation with Patch.

“We’re very proud of her,” said father Robert Aguilar, Jr. “We’re to keep her level-headed, and we’re focusing on the fact the money will help her with college.”

As for the commercial, Aguilar said Presley enjoyed herself, spending much of the eight hours literally dancing for the ad.

“She laughed and giggled the whole time,” Aguilar said.

According to Aguilar, his daughter first showed an interest in performing at age 3 when she snuck on stage at a fashion show and began to wave to the crowd.

“She stopped the show and demanded applause from the audience,” said Aguilar.

Presley, a Daisy scout, enjoys t-ball, ballet and soccer. She beat out more than 200 kids for the role and signed with a Los Angeles agent in April.

Hasbro plans to release the commercial and the toy, a plastic purple monkey with a long arm that kids can throw rings onto in Canada and America this summer.

And if she could name the monkey in the commercial, Presley said, she’d name him “Monkey.”

Presley’s mother is a registered nurse at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, and her father is a semi-retired entertainment executive who is currently attending law school.
