Upstream, whose members include two sons of the venerable inventor of soca music, was formed in the republic of Trinidad & Tobago in 1989. After relocating to Southern California in the early ’90s, Upstream has since made a name for themselves performing in numerous venues, events and festivals, throughout California and the western states.
The members of Upstream have a long history of collaborations with a variety of bands including The Love Circle, Geggy Tah on Virgin Records, Etta James, Ben Harper and the L.A. Desperados.
