ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum is introducing Family Fun Zone Fridays this summer at the Balboa Fun Zone. Beginning in June, visitors will enjoy a mix of FREE hands on activities, interactive programs and live entertainment that will connect them to the living museum in their backyard. Activities include: science-based experiments, nautical arts and crafts and family-friendly audio tours through our Ship Model Gallery. For the first time, ExplorOcean/NHNM will introduce a blast from the past to the exhibits. Experience and learn from an ‘exhibit interactor’, dressed in an authentic period costume from our nautical pastime. Visitors will be able try-on costumes and immerse themselves into history. Throughout the evening guests will enjoy a variety of entertainment featuring live music, face painters and stilt walkers. Participation is FREE, so bring your family and friends down to the waterfront at the Balboa Fun Zone starting June 15, 2012 at 5PM!
