Trio of Los Al, Seal Beach Locals Honored by Girls Scouts

The three were recognized for their volunteer work.

Think of it as merit badges for adults.

Three local residents were honored for their volunteer service to the Girl Scouts of Orange County at a luncheon at the Disneyland Hotel June 2.

Organizers presented Seal Beach resident Ann Montgomery and Los Alamitos resident Bob Kuhn with “Good Guy” awards, an award that recognizes "behind the scenes" volunteers who assist Girl Scouts but don't have an official title, according to Emilie Perkins, Girl Scouts of Orange County communications manager.

Seal Beach resident Ann Crane received the “Thanks Badge II,” the highest award given by Girl Scouts of Orange County.

“Ann was recognized for her tireless efforts training volunteers, mentoring girls, and organizing events,” Perkins said in a statement.
