Time is Running out to Register for the Race on the Base

There is still time to register for the 30th Annual Los Alamitos Race on the Base on February 26, 2011 at the Joint Forces Training Base. The Reverse Triathlon is sold our, there is still time to register for all other events, including the traditional 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Walk in cooperation with the Cancer Support Foundation, 10K In-Line Skate/Wheelchair, and Mission: Kids Run 1K, this year’s new Junior Reverse Triathlon

 Each participant will receive a Race on the Base dog tag finisher medal and a long-sleeved technical race shirt.  There will also be military aircraft displays, and the Friday Night Lights Family Fun Zone.  

Registration will be accepted online until 8:00am on Thursday at www.raceonthebase.com, or in person during packet pick up on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on the day of the race beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the Joint Forces Training Base, Hangar #2.  

The Race on the Base benefits the USA Water Polo National training Center located on the base.  Proceeds from the 5K Walk will benefit the Cancer Support Foundation.  For more information, go to www.raceonthebase.com or contact the Recreation and Community Services Department at (562) 430-1073.
