Taste for Los Al to be Held Saturday

More than 40 local restaurants from the Seal Beach, Rossmoor and Los Alamitos area will cook up tasty bites at the 13th annual Taste for Los Al.

More than 40 restaurants are hard at work prepping for this weekend's 13th annual Taste for Los Al, which helps raise money for Los Alamitos High School activities and facilities.

The Taste for Los Al will take place on Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. in the parking lot at the Shops at Rossmoor. Forty-two restaurants from the Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Rossmoor areas are set to participate in the food tasting, including Hof’s Hut, Sango Sushi, Callender’s Grill, and the Yucatan Grill all of which have provided food to the fundraiser every year since it began,  event organizers said.

Food samplings will take place during the first two hours, and the silent auction will feature a premium section for the first time where booster clubs can showcase their top offerings. The Friends of the Los Alamitos-Rossmoor Library is also participating in the Taste of Los Al this year, and four televisions will be on site to provide sports coverage during the fundraiser in the event that USC and UCLA football, and Dodger baseball, is on that night.
