Stuck in the Sand

Sand trap captures police department vehicle.

Early risers to Seal Beach this weekend found a Seal Beach Police vehicle mired in a deep sand pit near the pier. A tracker was need to pull the SUV out of the sand.

It's illegal for non-police and lifeguard vehicles to drive on the beach. Vehicles that get stuck in the sand are typically towed at the owner's expense.
