Run Seal Beach Run as been nominated for the CA Governor's Award.

Run Seal Beach Run, one of the city’s largest events and biggest fundraiser for athletics and Los Alamitos High School booster clubs, has been nominated for the CA Governor’s Award.

In the past 10 years the race has raised more than $700,000 for booster clubs, and athletic scholarships for programs such as Seal Beach Junior Lifeguard program.

The race has always been a very community-oriented event with most of the runners coming from Seal Beach, Rossmoor and Los Alamitos. The race is made possible with the help of 500 volunteers. This year’s race attracted roughly 5,500 runners.
