Seal Beach Police Explorers Compete

Explorers are hallenged on many skills, including tactical, investigatory and verbal in countywide competition.

The Seal Beach Police Department Police Explorers recently competed in the Orange County Law Enforcement Explorer Advisor’s Association Explorer Competition. They competed with Explorers and Explorer Post’s from law enforcement agencies across Orange County during the two-day event.

The competition took place at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) – Katella Facility in Anaheim as well as the OCSD Academy Facility in Tustin. The purpose of the competition was to serve as a learning experience, as well as to promote inter-post cooperation and friendship amongst explorers.

Team competitions included situations where the explorers were expected to employ tactical skills, investigatory skills, verbal skills and many others in events ranging from crime scene investigation, use of force option and domestic dispute, to hostage rescue, arrest and search, and physical agility.
