Seal Beach Boulevard Bridge Reopens Today

The Seal Beach Boulevard bridge is restored to two lanes in each direction.

The newly reconstructed west half of the Seal Beach Boulevard bridge will open to motorists today at 11 a.m., the Orange County Transportation Authority reported.

According to the OCTA, the Seal Beach Boulevard bridge will be restored to two lanes in each direction.

Community members may see a lot of activity on Seal Beach Boulevard in addition to normal nightly closures, as crews restripe the surrounding intersections and freeway on- and off-ramps to match the new four-lane configuration, the OCTA reported.

The bridge was reduced to one lane in 2012 in each direction, with a center median dedicated solely to emergency services vehicle.
