Sometimes it rains pennies from heaven.

Sometimes it's just one Penne.

The neutered-male brown-and-white-tabby domestic shorthair is the Long Beach Animal Care Services Rescue Pet of the Week.

"He’s alert and very sweet, and likes to curl up to resemble the pasta he’s named for," said Belinda Takayama in an email from LBAS.

You can meet Penne on the shelter side of Companion Animal Village at 7700 East Spring St.
