Rep. Lowenthal to Host Healthcare Enrollment Fair Next Week
Free flu shots will also be available at the health fair.
Congressman Alan Lowenthal will host a free community health and healthcare enrollment fair next week at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, his office announced Tuesday.
Rep. Lowenthal, who represents Los Alamitos, said the health fair will give residents a chance to learn about the new healthcare laws and how to enroll in California's health benefit exchange, known as Covered California.
During the event, certified Cover California counselors will be on hand as well as healthcare professionals who will offer free health screenings. Free flu shots will also be offered at the fair.
The event will take place from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, 11300 Standford Avenue in Garden Grove. The event is free and open to the public.
