Queen Mary Unveils Ice Kingdom and Holiday Village

This winter wonderland will include ice-skating, tubing, winter sculptures, carolers and Santa.

Want a way to chillax at a winter wonderland within driving distance from home? The Queen Mary will be hosting an indoor icescape called Chill inside the former Spruce Goose dome from Nov. 17 through Jan. 6.

The Patch team will be checking out the Long Beach snow scene Friday night and share with readers what we find.

Chill is being organized by the Queen Mary and International Special Attractions in association with Coca Cola, Finlandia, Heineken and the Aquarium of the Pacific.

The event features The Ice Kingdom and Holiday Village with ice skating, tubing, gingerbread decorating, Santa, carolers and a winter ice sculpture gallery, according to promoters.

The 6,500-square-foot ice skating rink and a 100-foot ice slide will open for guests with ticket prices ranging from $12.95 to $24.95.
