Photos: Rossmoor Community Festival Draws Thousands

Event includes dog parade, an Elvis impersonator and charity race in high heels.

Between 2,000 and 3,000 people joined in the celebrations at a Rossmoor park filled with classic cars, food trucks, games, vendors and musical acts Sunday, organizers said.

The event also included a magician, a dog parade and a race in high heels for charity, as well as musical performances from students at Lee and Hopkinson Elementary Schools and McAuliffe Middle School, Elvis impersonator Gary Anderson and the Blue Channel Band.

“If you did not join us for the Rossmoor Community Festival on Sunday, May 5, you missed a great event,” said Bev Houghton, second vice-president of the Rossmoor Homeowners Association in a written statement. 

The RHA and the Rossmoor Community Services District co-sponsored the event.
