Patch Picks: What to Do for the Super Bowl

Just a few places to catch the NFL's biggest game

Super Bowl XLV (that's 45 for the non-Roman-numeral readers) is Sunday. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. Pacific time. If you're not hosting your own party because you've just had your carpets cleaned, or because you ran out of time to mount your brand-new big screen to your man cave wall, here are a few places where you can watch the Big Game in town. (And for the non-football fans, there's always the Puppy Bowl.)

  • The Scene: Hennessey’s has six high-definition televisions, a boisterous crowd of Sunday morning football regulars and lots of Super Bowl drink deals. They’ll be offering $3 beers till 1 p.m., $5 jumbo draft beers, an 80 oz beer tower of Bud Light for $20, and shot specials throughout the game.

  • The Scene: Televisions everywhere you turn—eight of them. Clancy’s is offering $3 Amstel, shots of Southern Comfort and Sambuca for $2.25 and Bud Select 55 for $3.

  • The Scene: The five large-screen televisions throughout, and a gesture to keep the tribes happy with a $4.50 bratwurst special for Packers fans and a $4.50 kielbasa special for Steelers fans. At half-time O’Malley’s will be giving away 30 lbs of hot-wings.
