Los Alamitos Woman Elected President of Realtors Group

Los Alamitos resident Tammy Newland of Keller Williams Realty was elected as 2012 president of the Women’s Council of Realtors California. 

“I try to be a positive influence on my fellow businesswomen and my community and look forward to working with the various officers and chapters in the state,” said Newland.

"I am excited to continue the rollout of the strategic plan and to take our organization to new heights,” she said.

An active member of the local community and an advocate for protecting homeowner rights, Newland has also served as Women’s Council of Realtors Long Beach chapter president, California State District vice president, governor and state secretary.

As well as being an active realtor for 22 years and California Association of Realtors director, she owns two large Keller Williams Realty offices in Los Alamitos and South Bay. 

“I really love what I do,” she said. “There is nothing like successfully meeting the challenge of working with interesting people, understanding their goals and helping them achieve their dreams.”
