Los Alamitos Unified School District Announces New Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Director of Classified Personnel

Dr. Andrew Pulver assumes his new role effective July 1

Los Alamitos Unified School District announced that Dr. Andrew Pulver will assume his new role as the new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Director of Classified Personnel effective July 1. He has worked in education for over 16 years and has been with the Los Alamitos Unified School District for the past 12 years. 

Pulver taught math and science at both the elementary and secondary levels, was a middle school assistant principal, and served as the principal of Lee Elementary School for the last five years.   In addition, he is a member of the management’s negotiation team, coordinated the Outdoor Science School program, participated on the District’s health benefits committee, and was selected as Administrator of the Year in 2009.  

He received his Bachelor of Arts and teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University, his Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Alliant International University, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California.

Superintendent Dr. Sherry Kropp said, “Andrew’s experience and expertise are a perfect match for this position, and the Board of Education and I are confident that his contributions will enhance the District’s culture of excellence and commitment to serve all members of the school community.”
