Rare annular solar eclipse wows stargazers at the Seal Beach Pier.

Residents joined members of the Leisure World Astronomy and Stargazing Club Sunday May 20, 2012 at the Seal Beach Pier for a chance to safely view a rare annular solar eclipse.

Eclipse watchers used telescopes, welding glass and eclipse shades and simple pinhole and cardboard viewers to see the best show in town.
